Journal of Micromechatronics
Journal of Micromechatronics
Published quarterly by VSP (Netherlands)
Scope :
Micromechatronics is the synergistic integration of
microelectromechanical systems, electronic technologies, and precision
mechatronics with high added value.
The Journal of Micromechatronics (JuM),
which is devoted to the theory and
applications of microtechnology, is published quarterly by
VSP Co., and
includes survey papers, technical papers, short papers and news in the field
of micromechatronics.
The covered topics include but are not limited to: micro devices and
systems, micro sensors and actuators, high precision mechatronics,
micro power supplies, high precision and/or miniaturized
consumer products, computer and
communication peripherals, optical instruments, security systems,
micro robotics, space applications,
bio-medical devices and systems and other industrial
applications. In addition to covering fundamental
component technologies, a particular emphasis of the journal is the
integration and mechatronic aspects of diverse micromechatronic
systems.

Instructions to Authors
Authors are encouraged to submit papers in electronic form
(the E-mail addresses of the Editors can be
found above).
If electronic dispatch of files is not possible, 6 copies of the
manuscript and an IBM compatible disk
with all the files should be submitted to the Editor in your area:
N./S. America: Prof. R. Fearing
Asia/Australia: Prof. T. Fukuda
Europe: Prof. P. Dario
The Editors will forward the manuscript to the reviewers and will
notify the author of receipt and outcome of the reviewing process.
Submission of an article is understood to imply that the article is
original and unpublished and is not being considered for publication
elsewhere. It is the responsibility of the principal author to
secure requisite permission from his or her employer and all papers
submitted are understood to have received due clearance(s) for
publication.
Style of manuscript

single-sided on A4 or letter sheets and should be numbered
consecutively, beginning with the title page. The cover page must
contain the title, the name, address, fax number and E-mail address of the
author. An abstract (between 50 and 200 words) and up to eight
keywords should follow the title page on a separate sheet.
Headings and subheadings for different sections of the manuscript must
be clearly indicated. Equations and formulae must be typewritten and
numbered consecutively with arabic numerals in parentheses.
Figures should be submitted as both hard copy and file also.
Photographs can be either 600 dpi TIFF or Postscript.
All figures and tables should be cited consecutively in
the text and a list of captions
should be provided at the end of the paper. Color printing of figures is
at the expense of the author.
References should be listed at the end of the paper in the reference
section in numerical order.
There will be no page charges. Reprints can be ordered by the authors
with the reprint order form sent along with the first proofs.
