Measurement errors:
I only measured one example of each coin. Others may differ. For these two, however, there is no doubt that the 1999 coin is slightly heavier. I repeatedly measured them one after the other on the same 3-beam balance. Diameter and thickness may be exactly the same, though. The difference in my diameter measurement is "in the noise."
